What are Chakras?
A chakra is a center of activity that receives, assimilates, and expresses life force energy.
The word chakra literally translates as wheel or disk and refers to a spinning sphere of bioenergetic activity emanating from the major nerve ganglia branching forward from the spinal column.

CROWN CHAKRA
Location: Top of the head
Organs: Upper brain, pineal gland
Imbalanced state: Cause frustration -Excessive state Indecision and lack of physical spark- Deficient state
Physical disorders: brain disease, migraines, endocrine disfunction and psychological problems.
When balanced: Makes the connection to the higher self and have total access to the unconscious and subconscious mind. Blissful feeling of merging and melting into oneness with everything. An experience that can also be described as a cosmic orgasm. |
THIRD EYE CHAKRA
Location: Between the eye brows
Organs: Lower brain, central nervous system, pituitary gland,eyes, ears and nose.
Imbalanced state: egotiastical, proud, manipulative- Ex state. Oversensitve,nonassertive-and confused- Def state
Physical disorders: headaches, eye problem, sinus problem,catarrh, hay fever, insomnia, migraine and hormonal imbalances.
When balanced: state of meditation, peace, and silence are easily accessed. There is a sense of great freedom, moving beyond the boundaries of the body. You can look into your partner's eye, opening the door to true intimacy and mutual understanding. Adopt psychic powers, heightened intuition, promote visions and other senses. |

THROAT CHAKRA
Location: Throat
Organs: Throat, Mouth, and thyroid
Imbalanced state: Arrogance, Self-righteousness, Excessive Talking - Ex state Scared, Timid, shy,Inconsistent, Unreliable, Manipulative, Afraid of sex - Def state
Physical disorders: Exhaustion, Digestive & Weight problems, Thyroid Problems, Sore Throats, Throat Infections, Neck Pain.
When balanced: The whole jaw area loosens up & there is a desire to make facial & vocal expressions. You can say what you need, what you like & how you want things to be. Centred, contented & make a good speaker, musically or artistically inspired. Sexual expression & spiritual wisdom is heightened. |
HEART CHAKRA
Location: In the centre of the chest.
Organs: Heart, Lungs, Thymus gland,Lymph glands
Imbalanced state: Demanding, over-critical, possessive, moody, depressed, master of conditional love - Ex state Paranoia, indecisiveness, a desire to hang onto objects or people a fear of rejection - Def state
Physical disorders: High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Lung Disease, Asthma.
When Balanced: There is often a release of sadness through tears, together with an accompanying sense of relief followed by expansive feelings of laughter and joy, opening the doors for understanding, compassion, self appreciation,wholeness and gratitude. Sense of dissolving any boundaries between two lovers. Compassion, a desire to nurture others, Outgoing, friendly, puts us in touch with our feelings |

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA
Location: Below the rib cage.
Organs: Digestive System, Liver, Gall Bladder.
Imbalanced state: Judgmental, a workaholic, a perfectionist & resentful of authority - Ex state - Depressed, insecure & lacking in confidence, poor digestion– Def state
Physical disorders:Muscular stiffness, nervous tension, stomach and digestive disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, lower back pain, diabetes liver problems, low vitality, fevers.
When Balanced: There is an immediate sense of self-affirmation as self-confidence. Suddenly, there is no fear of expressing who we are, what we think and feel. There is no need to depend on other people. You accept yourself for who you are by letting go of inhibitions. It gives us permission to show our wild power. Self respect, outgoing, cheerful, relaxed, spontaneous and contented. |
NAVEL CHAKRA
Location: Just below the navel.
Organs: Ovaries, kidneys, lower stomach, prostate and spleen.
Imbalanced state: Over-emotional, aggressive, over- ambitious, manipulative nature, over-indulgent, obsessed with sex - Ex state - Over sensitivity, timidity, resentment, distrust, guilt - Def state
Physical disorders: Bladder & Kidney disorders, menstrual problems, circulatory problems, intestinal complaints, shallow & irregular breathing, low energy, disturbances of the central nervous system, migraines, disfunction of the reproductive organs, gynaecological problems
When Balanced: Held back emotions are released through screaming, shouting, deep breathing and so on. Energy streaming freely through the body. In touch with your emotions & your feelings, trusting towards others. |

ROOT/BASE CHAKRA
Location: Base of the spine.
Organs: Pelvis, testis, genitals, legs.Imbalanced state: Aggression,impatience, domineering,sexually inhibited-Ex state Lack of confidence, depression, sexual hang ups, lack of interest in sex, impotence, fear of money - Def state
Physical disorders: Spinal & leg problems, testicular disorders, inhibited rejuvenation of blood cells , haemorrhoids.
When balanced: Traumatic sexual memories is healed, we transcend our fears and become wholesome. We receive what we need from life and are fulfilled by it.Vitality, feeling of being grounded, centred, sexually affectionate in control of yourself |
